Review of Rapid Diagnostic and Assessment Centre written by a patient

Visit to RDAC to check out lump in breast, seen very quickly and given ultrasound with follow up for results. All staff were kind, friendly and professional. Could not have asked for better treatment. Results explained and left the unit totally reassured and informed.

Suggested improvements
Nothing, totally satisfied with the treatment by all members of staff.

The complete team that I have been treated by so far - led by Mr Gerald Gui, Miss Rachel Rolph and Sarah Adomah - have been amazing. I have felt cared for at all times - from the Day Surgery Receptionists to the recovery nurse (a lovely lady from Belfast) - when I've needed it most. A huge thank you to the team.

I couldn’t fault the staff I saw. Constantly explaining what they were doing, reassuring me and asking me about general things to keep me relaxed

Review of Wilson Ward written by a patient
30th October 2020

Overall lovely staff...who did their job well. there was what I would describe as THE DISAPPEARING NURSE though...one particular individual, very jolly, who waved with enthusiasm and said they were looking after me that day ...promised to bring me a gown that fitted...but didn't. I was told that I would be expected to leave wearing the special compression stockings but they never appeared either. I was told around 11am that I would be leaving that day but the staff appear to change around so often..it was impossible to find anyone who would supervise the departure...so it was all a bit of a muddle....and not really satisfactory. I felt that not enough time was given to gather oneself up to leave... that one person might be allocated to supervise that everything necessary is covered...just felt rushed and unstructured.

Review of Critical Care Unit written by a patient
30th October 2020

I felt there was a lot of attention to detail, very gentle care and that staff were attentive. Once I came round from the op, staff were very approachable and friendly , again with attention to detail. I was impressed with the way all the staff worked alongside one another...willingly and without being asked, helped each other with a really good co-operative spirit. Very positive atmosphere

Suggested improvements
Very minor but worth a mention I think... Was recovering from op...still having to lie stock still and really unable to do anything else.....and two staff started what they thought to be a quiet chat..... Only because of the general silence and assumption that patients aren't all that conscious..it was quite disturbing...
